What a very stupid idea to close that ramp and take away a road/street that is so important to the people who live and work there and nearby. Why should they have to drive miles to get home and/or go to work when the road is already there. NO, NO. NO.

Exiting at Lankershim (an already heavily congested exit) or Highland (an exit with no clear U-turn options and all kinds of Hollywood Bowl issues) are not even close to being workable alternatives.
