Having worked with Pat Brunner in my roles as both Junior Laker Basketball President and ML Youth Lacrosse Scheduler over the last years, I find this idea to be quite short-sighted and foolhardy.

In a very short time, Pat Brunner bleeds blue and orange! Thanks, Pat, for always being there for the kids.

This cut would effect the quality and consistency of our entire HS sports programming. The orchestration of everything and everybody needed to keep the various seasons running is vital. Any money saved would be spent fixing mistakes. Keep in mind that our AD not only deals with our logistics, but also coordinates with every other HS we compete with. It would be a nightmare.

It would be chaos without a full time AD. Chaos & High School don’t mix.

Let's look into other areas for cuts! Not critical staff that directly impact our kids' day to day lives!!

With 80% of our HS students involved in sports, it is absurd to consider eliminating this role. Losing this job, and the star performer we have in Mr Brunner, will certainly harm the students.

To even consider removing a position as important as AD to our town, shows lack of thought of the long term effects this will have on the students and overall Laker Pride. Mr Brunner has been an asset to our community and schools.

AD position is far more work than many imagine. If those duties are split and assigned to other administrators they become the last priority. Sports will suffer.

This is a big position that can’t be removed. Surprised it is even on the table. ML is defined by its athletics as well as its academics.

Our district requires a full time dedicated AD. Mr Brunner has been effective in this position. Our athletic teams success speaks to his effectiveness. He is the one ensuring our coaches and teams have what they need as well as ensuring our players are safe and healthy. Why is this even a question?! Keep Mr Brunner!!!

Writing this with my TOC ring. The role of an AD is to help the coaches fixate on winning... let alone a successful one like Brunner
