To the woman complaining about the work, I would point her to the following quote by American author Henry Miller "Instead of asking -- 'How much damage will the work in question bring about?' why not ask -- 'How much good? How much joy?'". The artwork has a positive message as well as adds to the overall community, and just because one person complains does not mean that it should be removed.
