Hi Ms. Veal, Welcome to South School! We are very excited to have you. As you may know, it's been a long-standing tradition for all 4th graders to move from the main building pods to the adjacent portables. We'd like to keep this tradition going in the 2013-14 school year. In the portables, the 4th graders enjoy - a larger classroom - larger desks - a much quieter environment - air conditioning and - promotion to the 'big kids' area of the schol In 2012-13, the 4th graders in Carol Welte's class were not moved to the portables. If you talked to them, you will find that they were not happy with this situation and would much prefer to be nearer Ms. Feinn's class and the 5th graders. We'd like the rising 4th graders to enjoy the maximum benefit of what South School has to offer. Please keep all the 4th graders in the portables!! Thank you. The undersigned South School parents
