Why is it some people just have to mess up a perfectly great show. It is DAMN shame.

As much as I like seeing some of the familiar faces on the new Swamp People episodes, the show seriously lacks the appeal it used to have when it had the previous cast members like David & Jeromy, Junior & Willie (& wife Theresa), Liz, Terrell (where's he been?). Those people helped make that show the success that it is (or was). Watching Willie single-handedly catch big alligators had me glued to the tv. The episode where his gun jammed and he pulled out his pocket knife and reached around the gator to get to the kill spot made my jaw drop. He never whines about tough situations, he just gets on with it. Seeing someone possess such inner strength and strong constitution is something lacking on television (and in life) these days. We need more examples like him on tv. You can never go wrong putting out that kind of message. It definitely helps me put things in prospective whenever I start complaining about my life. Another issue that I have with the show is the intro music. Born in the Bayou....Really? It's a good tune, don't get me wrong, but what was so bad about the old ditty? It was original and toe-tappin' and fit perfectly with the show's theme. Why would you change something that's already great with a rendition of an old song? Because it has the word "bayou" in it? It's awful. Just really, really awful. This show, that was once so juicy to watch, has lost its spicy Cajun flavor. I can't even get through one episode anymore.
