Seriously? I don't understand why it should matter what CARTOON characters sexuality should be. Being gay/straight/bi/etc. isn't something you can catch...

I like this show too much to be cancelled over a foolish reason that kids don't even understand let alone care about

This is positive and fun. By the logic of these straight folks wanting it off the air, I should petition to have every straight-centric romantic show kicked off the air because it promotes promiscuity between men and women that I haven't explained to my children yet. It's harmless and, if anything, assists in making children more knowledgeable and informed about society.

i think that if you CENSORED it, it would be ridiculous! why would anyone want to censor this? it's not as if DA CHEELDRUNZ are gonna be so influenced that they go out and kiss their friends...?

This show should stay uncensored. People don't choose how they're born and someone doesn't just "turn gay." Being young and seeing two people show affection for each other might prompt young people to do more research on their own and find support groups. In this case, it's something wrong with the parents. The fact that they try to shelter their kids from the real life experiences of other human beings that they will definitely encounter throughout their life is a problem. If movies can expose 13yo's to sex and swear words, why can't a cartoon show two people (who where forcefully separated) happily and joyfully in love?

I watched these episodes with my younger siblings. They're both in elementary school (1st and 3rd grade) and the three of us love them (especially Jailbreak). I'm a young queer person (high school), so this kind of representation is huge for me. My younger siblings didn't even comment on Ruby and Sapphire's relationship, so any grown-ass adults getting mad at this need to stop. Children aren't idiots, stop treating them as if they can't handle basic concepts. Also, yeah, if you're kid "ends up" queer? They were queer from the start. Cartoons didn't make your kid queer, friend, it just doesn't work that way.
