This isn't fair to the creators of the show! Children aren't going to be scarred by agendered GEMS kissing cheeks on air, or contemplating on how empty their lives are without a person they care deeply about. The maker of this petition has a point. It won't "turn them gay", that's ridiculous. You can't "turn someone gay" like you can't "turn someone straight.".

This is ridiculous. People should accept that others can love what ever gender they want~!

Stop homophobes forever, children are not interested in sex but they are interested in love. Stop ruining your kids' lives with your hatred.

Keep Steven Universe the way it is, it's influential and it's awesome. It also shows it's okay to be gay or lesbian. Let's not have another Adventure Time censor threat please.

Honestly, this show is wonderful how it is. Why would anybody want to censor it? The main theme throughout Steven Universe is LOVE, and this is the best example of it I can think of. When Ruby and Saphire are separated, the only thing ruby can think about doing is finding Saphire. When they hug it is such a relief for both of them to be back together again. And then there's Garnets song "Stronger Than You," which pretty much says that Garnet is stronger because of Ruby and Saphire's love and that love shouldn't be underestimated. Censoring that is like saying "love is wrong!" to children

Love is love. Someday people will understand that. This is a beautiful television show, and I'm so happy that children will grow up watching a show with so much diversity. Because representation matters. Courage the cowardly dog was cancelled under similar circumstances. I don't want the haters to win this time. Please don't cancel this show.

I'm so confused as to why people feel the need to censor love. We're supposed to be teaching love to the children, not hatred.

This show is leading to much acceptance, especially for young lgbtqia people. Please keep it

Why should we ever censor what true love is? Because people do not like the way it is portrayed? It should not be like this because love is love no matter what gender nor what sexual preference the charaters are shown. This is something children need to know. This is something teens and young adults need to know. This is something parents and adults need to understand. This show has a message for every one that needs to know and understand: Love is love no matter what

The show is amazing and shouldn't have eps removed for censored for others just because it's something people don't like.

Please do not foolish, close-minded people make the decision to remove one of the most beautiful moments in animation history.

As a heterosexual adult I couldn't be much happier to see a healthy completely cute way to show different kind of relationships in modern televisions. Kids need to learn that it doesn't matter who you are in love with but that you love them with everything you've got. SU is great on showing how love is love, it doesn't matter your gender, not even you species. Keep it up for one of Cartoon Network's most amazing and important shows.

Never censor queer representation. How could love be harmful to children?

Don't let the ignorant religious folks have their way anymore. Who cares what anyones sexual preference is. It's none of your f'n business.

If their problem is that it will "influence" children to become gay, I find that hard to believe. I was surrounded by straight couples and even had straight parents and I turned out perfectly gay. If seeing two fictional characters kiss is that influential to your child I think you have more issues than just two fictional characters of the same sex kissing. Ruby and Sapphire love each other, and if they teach your child love you're not comfortable with, I think you need to re-evaluate your life.
