Stephen Young immigrated to Canada with his parents when he was 2 yrs old. He has been a Permanent resident ever since, and thought no more about getting a citizenship here as he considered himself a Canadian since infancy. Immigration Canada has decided that he should be deported due to his less-than-ideal past/ decision making throughout his 42 years of life but we have to fight for what's right and show Immigration that he is very Canadian, and he has many supporters to vouch for him, reasons to stay, etc. He is an ironworker/ welder for past 25 yrs (paying into CPP and Municipal Pensions), he is married to a Canadian citizen (nurse), supports her children financially and with healthcare benefits, and his folks and family live in Canada only. He has absolutely no ties in England, where he immigrated from.
One share and one signature from each of his friends, family, and coworkers will hopefully help our cause in fighting for him.

I've known Steve for many years. He has always proven to be a good person and would do anything for someone. I think that trait alone is more than worthy of Canadian citizenship.
Everyone has a past but everyone also deserves a future. Dont punish his famiy and children for a past the is long gone. He truly is Canadian in all the right ways. His family will be truly deeply affected by this. He deserves to stay and have the chance to see his children grow in Canada just like he did.
Fellow ironworker who has worked with him on jobs and was always a great hand on the job. And there for any of our brothers is needed. Keep him in Canada to keep ironworkers safe on a job site and to be there to help and pass on his knowledge to other fellow ironworkers
Steve is a very good friend of mine and as kids a huge inspiration , I mirrored my soccer game around him and ended up teaching soccer for 8 yrs and taught the kids what he taught me . He's a true Canadian and belongs with family and friends.
Great ironworker; a craftsman and an inspiration. We need Steve Young in Canada to train a new generation of ironworker apprentices. It would be a shame to lose this asset to our country and our union.

I grew up with Steve in Fort McMurray, he is truly a natuarlized Canadian that deserves to be a Canadian citizen, expecially after living here for over 40 years paying federal and provincial taxes for so long.
