Our Elementary School needs an SRO, who else is going to protect our children? I'm sorry, but having just women isn't enough. We need someone who is trained in this field. Our children need to be safe, feel safe and our parents need to know that our children are safe everyday they are in school. If they take the SRO away from our school, I don't feel that my child will be protected at all, if anything were to happen; such as a student bring a weapon to school or some adult busts in their and opens fire. I am a very upset parent over all this, for my child attends Blue Ridge Elementary.

This is ridiculous. Our children need protection in today's time. None of us wish we had to, but it is a fact a life no matter how big or little your town is. There are plenty of questionable people living in our community right here that could put our children in harms way

When she stops working for the good of the citizens she needs to find a new job.

I'm sorry but the SRO should stay at Blue Ridge Elementary. Angie arp is thr one that should be gone. They help our kids and I would hate to know something happened and noone was there helping to protect them. Those kids look ip to the SRO. Keep the SRO!!!!

We need this added protection in all the schools. The funding needs to be found in order to pay for this service.

Maybe they should use the money from the playground at the city park to pay the SRO

My child as well as all the other children at BRES deserve the same protection as the rest of the schools in Fannin County.

Money saving is one thing but go take away from our children in this community to do so is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

The kids deserve to feel safe and they get that with an officer there. They learn that they are their friends and not to be afraid of them. I'm sure the teachers feel a lot better with them there as well. This school is right on the four lane and anyone could come up but with a deputy there I think think there's a lot less chance of danger. Please put our kids first!

Two of my children attend this school and I can not even fanthom my children attending this school without an officer there; especially this day and time. Budget cuts or not.... These children's safety should be top priority!

In this day and time every school needs a officer during school hours. Keep one at BRES and all schools in Fannin Co.

Of all the elementary schools that need a resource officer it's the school that has the special needs program that needs it!! Why cut just one from one school?? Is this the one thing the board thinks is the easiest to cut?!?
