Children need consistency. Re-zoning is not ideal as it happened to me when I was younger . We Moved to stay in the district.

Please keep Spring Ridge in the Northwood school zone. Spring Ridge is an integral part of the Northwood community and vice versa.

The traffic on Old Alabama is already at a stand still going towards Hillside both in the am and pm...why in the world would you want to add to that? It makes no sense to take our neighborhood out within walking distance to a school they have been districted for since the school opened.

Why move kids away from a school that they can enjoy walking to? This move will also cause more unnecessary traffic on and around Old Alabama Rd which already has enough as it is.

I live in Willow Springs, across Old Alabama Rd from Spring Ridge. Our neighborhood is not targeted for redistricting at this time. However, we support the request of our Spring Ridge neighbors to stay in our neighborhood school for all the reasons stated in the petition. We have forwarded this petition to our Willow Springs residents and we are asking for their support.

Moving Spring Ridge neighborhood students out of their school will offer nothing positive for the students. They will be farther away, making walking or riding their bikes prohibitive due to safety issues. Their sense of a neighborhood community will be diminished. This is a move detrimental for the students' welfare and education. Using students as pawns for political reasons should be condemned and stopped now.

The traffic would be horrible for a parent if they drive their child to hillside ! And WHY would you send kids to a school further away ?!!!! They should STAy in their neighborhood school! Keep them at Northwood ..once again it's all about $$$
