Please leave us at our neighborhood school- we have at least 2 classrooms at our school that are not being utilized for classrooms. We are displacing children when there are available, empty classrooms.

From a geographical perspective it makes absolutely no sense to move student from a neighborhood which is essentially on the same street as the school and send them to a school farther away in terms of roadways, where they will likely sit in traffic every morning on a bus. This seems counterproductive and will increase fuel costs as well as create more traffic issues in an already congested area. Why move students when the school is not even in danger of reaching capacity for at least the next 3-4 years?

I was on the committee to review school site sekections and student placement when northwood was built. Marvin reddish headed the group. We worked long and hard ti get this neighborhood school for spring ridge. It was decided that it was in our neighorhoods best intetest to have our kids attend a ver close location and that is where we should remain today. We are easy pickings for moving us because we are a large group. This was what we fsced last time during our meeting, but a good decision was to ignore that and leave us where it made sense. That should not change.

Keeping children in same school district is an integral part of their being well rounded children. Personally experienced this when my children were young and forced to change schools often.

I am a former Northwood student. Living in Spring Ridge, it made sense to go to the closest school, and it still does. Keep these students at Northwood!

Being a teacher, I know how detrimental a long bus ride, and reduced sleep can be for a student. Northwood is Spring Ridge's neighborhood, and should remain so.

Living just a mile from the school, all 3 of my kids went to Northwood. Spring Ridge should keep the tradition going.

While I do not support turning teachers lounges into classrooms l, Spring Ridge has always played a major role in the Northwood community. Taking a way this neighborhoods presence at the elementary school would only make things more difficult for the family's who support, chrilden who attend and the school itself.

Spring Ridge should ABSOLUTELY continue to be in the Northwood district. All the reasons listed in this petition are more than enough to convince the powers that be to change this!

Folks, we need to keep our Spring Ridge kids at Northwoods. Thirty-one years ago when we first moved in, the school districts kept changing as the area grew. Our two oldest had to switch schools often. It was not a pretty situation. Northwood has been one of the most stable environments for our children in decades.

The closest proximiyy neighborhoods should attend their closest school. For Spring Ridge, this is Northwood. This is just the basis. Northwood excels currently because of the current districting.
Keep neighborhood schools!!!
