KEEP SPRING RIDGE AT NORTHWOOD

I grew up in spring Ridge and went to Northwood. In 5th grade when the weather was nice my mom would meet me half way and I would walk home from school. It was great exercise that helped keep me active as I loved the outdoors. I would hate for the children of spring ridge to not even have the opportunity to be able to do this.

Neighborhood schools are good for the students, as well every aspect of the local community. Leave Spring Ridge at Northwood Elementary

I don't have children but wouldn't be concerned about impact on property values given that today people have the value of having your children close and in the future would be busing them farther away. I also appreciate the parents concern and their investment in Northwood and think the board should reconsider what

This is a ridiculous move by the board. Every school will be worse for it!

The board is yet to justify their reason of moving us; this petition gave detail reason why we should be left at Northwood. Thank you for your understanding.

Spring ridge is 1 mile from Northwood Elementary School! They should not be redistributed to a school that is further away . That means more time in busses, and more difficulty for parents to go to the school .

Pls reconsider this decision to move spring ridge students to another school. It makes no sense. This is they're neighborhood school.

Today is another prime example of why children should be as close to their school as possible. Safety. If the weather is bad and roads are icy, I want my child to be on the roads the shortest amount of time possible. I also want the most direct route possible. I don't want anyone to have to leave Northwood, but there are neighborhoods where the commute makes more sense. Also I've seen some discussion about redistricting elementary school, but then these kids will go to a different middle school than their elementary school peers. That is unintelligible and almost cruel, esp at one of the hardest times of a child's life (pre-teen and early teen years). Please reconsider this disruption. Is it really worth it, esp when Northwood's projected numbers don't support mixing things up?

It makes no sense to redistrict Spring Ridge.
