This is very unfair to freshman and sophmores that play a sport because they will have to do 5 times the work as a regular student. Even though high school athletes already do 3 times as much(if they play on a club outside of school).

Playing a sport and having pe at the same time is pointless, it's wasting time that could be used studying or playing their actual sport.

This is outrageous! How could you possible think it is ok to make sports not sports!!! I don't understand how granada can possible think it is a good idea to do this to the many athletes in numerous programs! Shows how granada really cares about sports.

First off, holding practice after school will create a conflict amongst the teams for scheduling gym and field time, making it so some practices are held late into the evening. Second, these kids get MORE than enough exercise! To have them participate in PE also is way too much for their bodies!

Most sports do more physical activity than PE. Also, sports can get you a career, but PE can't.

Students are already over extended with coursework. This would only limit students ability to participate in sports.
I don't think that athletes should be forced to take PE aside from their sport.

I wasn't too interested in joining a sports team here, but I have had a good amount of after school dance practices and friends in sports to know that not only would it be exhausting, but it would terribly hurt their ability to do any homework whatsoever

Ridiculous that we even have to petition for this, diversity is what brings the world together, in all aspects.

In order to excel in our sports, we need more time to practice and get better.

I think it's just unrealistic to do this because it's too much work and not enough time. First of all no one should be doing sports and pe. It's not healthy for your body. You're over working your body and it's not good. I actually had to have a cast because of an overuse injury due to playing pe and soccer. In addition we need study hall. It is so important for athletes to have this extra hour to get our work done. We don't have a lot of time when we get home especially with the work load that Granada gives us that extra hour is essential. Lastly it wouldn't make sense to have sports start after school. We have things to do and stuff to get done like our homework or other club practice to get to. By starting practice so late in the day it gives us little to no time to do our homework or anything else for that matter. I just want to point out the fact that almost all of our sports teams won cif And went further so why would you mess with that. The system we have is obviously working if almost all of our teams excelled. By making this rule real it might cause athletes to not want to participate in it because of the crucial demands and decisions it puts on us as student athletes.

It's just better that way, don't try to fix something that isn't broken.
