This is not fair and should not be allowed. My 10 month old son just started his swimming lessons and I don't find it fair for him or any other child to have this taken away from them.

Natalie has taught both of my daughters how to swim and life saving techniques. She is an amazing person that has so much to offer to this community. If she was asked to leave, it would be a huge loss for the community and our children.

My children have become such strong swimmers with Splashes and Smiles. And Pompano Aquatic Center is so convenient that we rarely miss a class. Please don't make them move!!

Please keep this great swim program available for all. For those who don't have a pool at their house this is a great alternative for them to learn to swim and to be safe around a pool. This is also a great meeting place for moms for mommy and me! Samantha Marcum is a fabulous woman, teacher, and is trying to make a difference in the lives of children. I'm sure some of her families have joined the piranhas swim team.

Splashes & Smiles is an awesome company that has taught all the kids I know in the area to swim. They deserve to stay at the Aquatic Center. Do what is right.

Public pools should be a venue that has classes to teach children to swim. Drowning is one of the most frequent causes of deaths for children. Please reconsider. Thank you for spending our tax dollars wisely.

Miss Samantha is simply the best! I certainly believe that the PBAC could and should benefit from her skills and talent. We had several attempts with other instructors and all failed, Miss Samantha exceeded our expectations. We love her!

This is truly a situation in which politics should have NO influence. This is about preventing death of children by drowning. Many families do not have their own pool for private lessons but their kids are exposed to private pools almost on a daily basis. The two interests do not collide, one is to teach little kids "not to drown", the other one is to teach "faster" swimming! If the City of Pompano Beach is supporting the elimination of Splashes and Smiles at the PBAC, they can take a partial responsibility for any future child drowning within their city limits. All the above is not even addressing the legal conflict of the tax payer funding the PBAC and the PBAC walking away from a rent paying business and therefore reducing the burden on each resident of Pompano Beach.

I am a concerned parent of four children, ranging in age from 6-2 years. Three of my children have received instruction from Splashes and Smiles Swim School at the Pompano Beach Aquatic Center, with plans for the 4th to enroll over the summer. The Aquatic Center is not only conveniently located to my residence, but it also provides a wonderful atmosphere for children to learn water safety. Florida loses more children under the age of five to drowning than any other state. As a community, shouldn't we be supportive of any program that promotes water safety? Let's keep the focus on the children!

We love Miss Samantha & all her instructors, and we see them as a great asset to the Pompano Aquatics Center. She draws many families to the Pompano Parks & should be able to remain there.

This is simply wrong. I work at an aquatic facility. We have a swim team and two different organizations doing swim lessons, that are not affiliated with the team. Its great. This is simply the team being greedy and a bully. Swim teams do not teach lessons. Not any where. Swim teams are gor swimmers. Lessons are for novices.

we will forever be grateful for the Splashes and Smiles program offered at the Pompano Beach Aquatic Center where our granddaughter, Veronica learned to swim. It would be a great loss to the families of this area seeking swimming lessons from a longstanding and reputable program such as Splashes and Smiles. We absolutely love Miss Samantha! This is a wonderful school! Samantha Marcum is an excellent teacher and my grandchildren learned to swim with her. Please let her stay at the Pompano Aquatic Center.

Why would anyone want to ban someone from teaching water safety through swimming lessons? These are the children of our community that we are talking about. If my kids were still swimming with the Piranhas, I would hold this same opinion.

Splashes and Smiles provides an invaluable service to the community. They should be allowed the use of the pool to teach water safety to young children.
