Safford street should connect downtown with the sponge docks. Pedestrian friendly, restaurants, shops, and it keeps Tarpon Ave, Live Oak, and Alt 19 open for cars.

I think it's adding a lot of character to downtown, let's keep it closed.

This will help the businesses in that area survive during this unprecedented time. Look at other cities in our area they are doing this same very thing for their restaurants

Love the outdoor street vibe that has been created. Allows people to feel safe and get back to some semblance of normalcy!

As a former downtown business owner who closed not only to covid 19 but lack of pedestrian traffic in the area, this will only help remaining business.

Plenty of alternate routes for that one block. There is absolutely no need to open this road back up to automobile traffic. More little gem spots like this please.

I think that a permanent closure of this part of Hibiscus is a great idea. It’s really pretty; can’t wait to dine at all the restaurants sharing this space!

Keep it closed. This is a wonderful way to make Tarpons Main Street beautiful and practical for small businesses.

KEEP IT CLOSED! With covid going on the restaurants need the seating space! Barely anyone drives down that road and the people that do are most likely locals that know there is a million other ways to get to the other side of the street. KEEP IT CLOSED!
