My sister hung out with both Scott and Steve. Even all these years later I keep thinking it could have been her. My heart goes out to the Hayes family. I remember this horrific crime like it was yesterday.

I lived in Mentor at the time of the murder and the whole city was in shock and I believe many of the school kids were too. That was a time before murders and rapes were so prevalent. Those boys should have had stricter sentences.

Although I no longer live in Ohio....I lwas born and raised and lived in Cleveland at the time of this horrific crime. I believe Scott Grant should remain in prison for the MAXIMUM amount of time.
PLEASE DO NOT RELEASE him early on parole !!!!!!

Nobody in Mentor will ever forget this henous crime! Michelle deserves justice. What Scott did to her was unimaginable! He deserves nothing but to stay in that jail cell for as long as the law allows. It's a shame that this is his life...but at least he has one ! And he made this choice! Michelle didn't have a say. She didn't get a choice. And she didn't get to live her life. No early parole for this person ever!

I am unfamiliar with this due to the fact I was too little to know anything. I was only 1.5 - 2 years of age at the time. He sounds like a rotten pos. I think an inmate will kill him in prison or he may kill himself. Either way keep him locked up.
