Our kids need the charter school to remain open.

Our public school system is failing us and we can't continue to shut down other opportunities for our kids to receive quality education

I am a parent with a second grader at Scholars Academy. He is doing well at this school. The staff is great and they provide an exceptional learning environment. My son has improved and does improved in all areas. His reading is so much better and he loves math. Please keep this school open. Can you do well knowing that your vote caused kid to fail.

Scholars Academy Charter School is a bright light in the heart of Clayton County, GA. This school has withstood challenges with integrity and perseverance. It is unfortunate that the Georgia State Charter Commission Board does not understand what Scholars Academy means to our children and families. Not only do these students deserve an outstanding education, they also need to learn in a safe environment. Scholars Academy has provided both these necessities- and more- with a limited budget and a caring staff. When the SCCB denied our charter renewal they also denied our students and families a fighting chance to better the community, by creating global learners. I encourage the Scholars Family to respectfully reach out to the SCCB and PRAY that each board member takes the time to read our petition and have mercy on our school.

I have a daughter in.kindergarten, a daughter in 4th grade, and a nephew in 1st grade. Before attending Scholars Academy, they were not being challenged. Upon attending Scholars Academy, I have seen a vast improvement in my children's behavior, grades, and work ethic. This school is an excellent school and exceeds expectations of.Clayton county schools.

My friend is very pleased with her children's academic and social progress as students of this school.

It would be a tragedy to close this school!!

As a single mother to a young boy of 8 years of age, it is challenging in the world in which we live today with all that is out there that negatively influences our boys to find an environment that yields positivity, caring, and growth. I found contentment when I discovered Scholars Academy Charter School in Riverdale, Georgia, and I enrolled my son there. I was devastated when I recently learned that the school is targeted to close permanently after this school term. My son has attended the school since kindergarten and it has been an environment that fosters individualistic thinking as well as real-world coping skills. This is all due to the caliber of instructors and staff members that have dedicated themselves to the student body, taking personal interest in each and every one. The school personnel are more than teachers; they are mentors, directing and guiding each student towards success. They project a common goal and actively work to help prepare the students for the future.

Why mess with a good thing? If it's not broke don't fix it!!
