My daughter transferred from California to Towson, and its been a difficult adjustment, but from the moment she met Ron that's been her favorite teacher there. She has talked about how much he cares for his students, and goes out of his way to help and also keeps in touch with his students. It's hard to get teachers like that! My goodness look at all these signatures. There is an ex student from Australia who even commented and signed the petition!

Ron is a caring person who lends a hand to those in need without being asked. He has integrity and compassion. Please reconsider this decision

I had Prof. Fenicle for DFST 114 in Spring 2015. As an Honors college student that has to take many different and interesting courses, Ron's ASL class has been my favorite Honors college course. He presents the material in a way that makes learning a second language fun and engaging. After one semester with this wonderful teacher, I've retained the majority of the signs that he taught the class. After two years of Spanish, I hardly remember anything I learned from those professors which means Ron must be an effective teacher who conveys information very well to his students.

He is a remarkable man and a wonderful teacher, letting him go is a terrible mistake. He loves what he does and he does it well.

I have never taken any of Ron Fenicles classes but I have been his neighbor for over 20 years. I can only say no one could ask for a better friend and neighbor than Ron. He is always ready to lend a helping hand when needed and is a true asset to our neighborhood. Rethink this decision.

My son is a student of Professor Fenicle and he adores him. What is wrong with the school that does not keep the best professors and leaves the ones in place who don't do as good a good job? Is that the reputation that Towson wants to have ? I doubt it. Is this a personal vendetta because it's obviously not something that's being done on his merit. 700+ signatures and all these positive comments what is the real story? Somebody's got to get to the bottom of this!

I was a student at Towson for two years and I can honestly say Ron is the only professor I felt cared about his students. When I wanted to apply to Gallaudet, a very prestigious college for the Deaf/HoH, he was he ONLY professor in the entire department to push me to actually apply and the ONLY one that gave me positive encouragement. Ron sat with me and went through my application with me ensuring I felt confident with my submission. Losing Ron would really negatively affect the Deaf Studies department at Towson. I can only hope the department realizes how much of an important asset Ron is. Overall, Ron is a great professor, I was lucky to have him teach me and Towson is lucky to have him as a professor.

Even though I am not a deaf studies major, Professor Fenicle has been a family friend for a long time. As a Towson science major I am sadden to hear about this. He is a great person and teacher.

As a parent of a Towson Deaf Studies major student, I know how valuable this professor is. We heard such great things about him before our daughter committed to Towson. It would be a mistake to let him go.
