This student is not a rapist. He was found not guilty on both charges by a jury. Who by the way came back with a verdict in almost record time. Less than 30 minutes.

90% of rapists are repeat offenders. Knowingly putting this person back on campus, where he has already violated our student conduct code and is a danger to other students, is a violation of our Title IX right to a safe learning environment.

While I fully believe in second chances, he shouldn't be allowed back on campus.

Roanoke College should uphold a higher standard than letting a rapist back on campus.

Anna is the strongest, most loving person I know. She's my best friend and I hate to see her go through something like this and to see him get off. He deserves to go to jail for what he has done and I will stand by her until justice is served to him. We will do whatever it takes.

I am a 70 year old retired engineer who provides math and science tutoring to high school students in our area. I can only hope that those who have the power to make our college campuses safer for the cherished youth of our nation show better use of that power. All our college campuses need to be a place where our youth can go to learn and grow in safety not fear. This issue is a problem for many youth today whether it be because of gender, religion, ethnic background or sexual orientation. I can only say that I believe that God made all of humanity and does not make junk. All of humanity must be respected and respect each other more with more open dialogue and love. I send my blessings of love and peace to all who are hurting. You are all God's gift to the future of humanity live like you want and deserve God's unconditional love.

Why in the world would you allow a known rapist on your campus? Where does that logic come from?

If initially a preponderance of evidence was found which caused him to be kicked off campus I don't see how anything has changed. I WOULD NOT feel safe on this campus knowing someone like him was here. Every girl that signs this petition should give Roanoke College just another reason to not let him back in. Its our Title IX protection to ensure we feel safe on our campus. With him around, we do not feel safe.

As much as we pay for our children to be there we expect them to be as safe as possible, do not let a known assailant back on that campus with my child.
