This would be a tremendous loss for the BGSU community. Rich has impacted so many students’ lives. Even after graduating I have met people who went to BG and also remember Rich as contributing in such a positive way to their experience on campus.

Richard is a fixture at Bowling Green! Those talks truly help when you’re a kid transitioning from HS and finding yourself in a completely new world! Please keep him around, it may just change the trajectory of some lost kids life! Be blessed!

Getting rid of Mr. Rich has to be one of the worst decisions this university has made in the last 10 years, and I am including their decision to faculty by 100 members a few years ago in that. Mr. Rich has done more to be the caring, friendly, kind face of this university than anyone else has. He makes his student riders feel welcome and cared for. He know their names. He promotes the student athletes on his social media accounts. He makes sure to stay in contact with us as we graduate. He has done more to promote BG as a school and a community for free than people who are paid by the university to do it. Because he loves it. Because he loves the students. And the administration has felt the need to outsource his position without offering him another in order to save a little money. Not only is this a terrible decision for the students and the college community, this is a terrible PR move, and I hope they realize it.

Rich made my journey at BGSU worthwhile. His caring nature carries on to this day. BGSU will lose an outstanding person who is an asset to the school if he is let go!
