Polka music is greatly needed to continue to be broadcast for the younger generation. If not continued, it will die off and we will loose a much needed heritage. Polka music is happy music and can make a person feel good about themselves and others. It's much more appropriate music compared to... say Rap or other style of music that degrades this country of its qualities.

I am from Michigan and have been listening to the WMUA polka shows for about (5) years. I have donated money's when they have their fund drive. I know I don't understand the financial end of the radio business, cause I'm sure this is why they are being discontinued. The question is, what happened to the money's the the Polka show collected. Was it not enough?

Polkas have always been a staple growing up in Hadley while we were picking and packing corn. And at all family gatherings. Even my teenage kids enjoy the nostalgia and tradition. Keep it alive!

Please reconsider your decision to reduce the Polka weekend to 4 hours on Sunday. The many people who look forward to these programs will be deprived of their Saturday enjoyment. Polka music raised $24,000. for this station in just 20 hours recently. I believe this music to be quality entertainment.

Saturday and Sunday won't be the same without the Polka show's. Been listening ever since I was a young child, I'm now 48 and still tune in every weekend.
