I can't imagine what factors were used to reach such a crazy decision. The Polka people are your biggest contributors- who will pay for the equipment now once it breaks down. You need to seriously take a second look at such a ridiculous decision and keep polka music as usual - 12 hours on the weekend.

I have been listening to WMUA on-line (internet feed) on Saturdays and Sundays for at least 10 years if not more. It would be a shame to both WMUA and the college if the reduce hours are enforced.

I have been listening to WMUA Polka Show since it started with BB....I can't believe that with all the financial support polka fans have given this radio station you are cutting the hours so drastically, you should be adding hours.....

Sounds very racist to me. UMass should compare the similarities of what they are doing here to what the "Nazi's" did to the Jewish Community which started WWII.

After these many years WMUA has respected the wishes of lovers of Polka music, and has gladly accepted close to a half Million dollars donated to the station by polka fans. By cutting the hours of this programming, you not only slap the faces of all the donaters, but also slap the faces of the DJ's who have faithfully brought this music to the public, free of charge in all sorts of weather. This is simply a disgrace. Keep the 12 hours of Polka music on the air.

Have gone to many polish dances over the years. My brother Bob Bobin was a member of many different polka bands in the Chicago area. My wife & myself followed all the bands across the entire Midwest for many years. Polka radio stations in the Chicago area are falling by the way side. Keeping polkas on the internet is the only thing left. I hope with your efforts polka music will still be heard on WMUA for many more years.

This is very upsetting. I used to be a heavy hitter (donor) but I will rethink this if the Polka schedule does not stay as is. I believe that much of the new station equipment was purchased by funds raised during the Polkathon

Please keep our polkas on the air. Many of our polka listeners are elderly and they are not able to get to the dances. They enjoy hearing the IJ's talk about what's happening and listening to the great music. This is important! Thank you very much.
