UMASS and WMUA should be more appreciative for what polka music and the listeners have done for the station over the years. The polka shows which air on the weekends are a long-time tradition and the faithful supportive listeners who constantly donate money to keep these programs on the air deserve their opinions in the programming. Monies that have been donated are not just for equipment, it is for keeping "our" shows on the air. It is a crying shame that the staff can be so ignorant as to bite the hand that feeds them. Return the programming to the way it was.

I was a UMass student that was surprised to hear polka on WMUA, but quickly embraced the music and looked forward to listen to it on early weekend mornings!

I grew up in New Jersey listening to polka music on the radio, and was delighted to find it on WMUA when I moved to Amherst years ago. I listen on the FM dial. I thought it was smart to air it on Saturday and Sunday mornings, when most students are asleep.

enjoying polka music from Puerto rico and it is my upkeep on my heritage,so I can't go infavor of the new scheduling

I have enormous respect for the polka hours on WMUA, 91.1. The idea of cutting the program is very disheartening. I suspect the funding for the program is sufficient to keep it going, and then some! Please consider all the funding that the Polka program brings to WMUA and reconsider your position to cut it. Thank you
