After all these years of wonderful polka music it was a slap in the face for us people especially after donating to the telethons for all these years. Some people told me they wanted their donations return. This is a shame

After all the people who donated their time and money for the telethons on WMUA, I think it is totally disgusting for the WMUA station to cut the polka music down to just 4 hours.

I feel very strongly that this has anti-Polish insinuations.
Talk about racist.

I look forward to the Polish music programs and I urge you not to cut back on its presentation. We have lost too much of the original ethneticity already.

Please continue with the 12 hours of Polka programming. Do not reduce it to 4 hours. Consider the financial support given to WMUA by Polka listeners--it far exceeds any other programming on the station.

we in buffalo,ny are proud to have polka music 7 days a week-Ronnie Dombrowski carries us Mon / Sun on 2 different stations and does an excellent job keeping the fans of his show - 2 other polka jocks carry us through sunday afternoon/ evening
and we support them as well as the bands from all over the country who now come in to our area for great polka jamborees - the growth of our ethnic culture is important to us - don't deny us OUR priviledge

I was class of 1983 and used to enjoy my Saturday mornings @ WMUA with Billy Beliina, The Bay State 4, The Brass Connection and many others who visited to make a great program for the polish community. They supported us and the University should support them with more great music.

I have been following polka music for 51 years and I'm not Polish. I'm 100% French with Canadian ancestry. I also know that I'm not the only one who is not polish that follow polka music. I know first hand because I have 2 polka shows and some of my listeners are Irish, French, Italian, British, German, and even some Spanish listeners. My 2 shows are also on-line. There are at least 6 assisted living facilities in my broad cast range and least that much on the internet. I know these facilities listen because I have heard from nurses who say people gather in the recreation rooms to listen to not only my shows but others including WMUA. One of our DJ's mother is in one of these Facilities. Polka music is a vital part of the lives of many including the elderly and the shut-ins. Polka music has a place in society and that place is WMUA.
