Keep Polkas Alive on WMUA

I am demanding the return of all 4 polka shows and their hosts returned to their regularly scheduled 12 hr. weekend block. I listen to this programming on radio all of the time and for years.

Keep Polka music.

No other genre of music has the excitement, the beat, the happiness of polka soul rhythm!

Keep the Polka's and the Waltz's Used to be able to hear them while working during the week

After donating to years of WMUA fundraisers, I feel betrayed by the decisions made to reduce the number of polka program hours in the new 2016 schedule. Maybe, after a "spring semester" of trying an alternate format, WMUA can re-offer the polka community broadcasting hours to the polka culture (if not before) with expanded hours. The generous hosts of the WMUA polish programs have shared the polish culture to the world which is positive, generous, happy and family oriented. I listen to WMUA through the internet as I'm located in the midwest specifically to enjoy the polka hosts and top quality music.

I know these people personally and know that they put their heart and soul into the music they love ....... It sounds like just another way corporate America puts the dollar ahead of what made them in the first place ........

Common sense, let the culture continue.

Billy Belina & Mitch Moskal have been iconic in not only the preservation of polka music but also setting the bar for listenership and syndication in the industry. Much support and funding has come from this program, it deserves to live on!

The polka shows not only provide music , but they also help to spread joy and goodwill throughout the listening area and beyond. People across this country enjoy listening to Polish music put forth by this station. This decision needs to be looked at again by someone other than the Station Programmer. Reducing the shows to just four hours is a mistake that needs to be corrected.

Please don't take another part of our culture away,

It's a bad move to remove and change the current Saturday/Sunday polka schedule on WMUA. I will no longer support this station.

Please return all 4 polka shows and their hosts to their regularly scheduled 12 hour weekend block. My parents, aunts and uncles, as well as my grandparents love this show! It's lively and praises the richness in our Polish heritage! teraz niech tańczą (now let's dance!)

I am a resident of Hadley and have lived here since I was born. I grew up listening to Billy Belina's polka show. Being of Polish heritage and the son of a Polka musician, I am extremely familiar with the large fan-base and strong cultural ties that these programs have within our community and even for loyal fans many miles away. I continued listening to these programs through my years attending college at the Isenberg School of Business and began playing with the Polish Christmas Carolers. I still do - every year, and have had some of the best memories where we begin our tradition at the WMUA radio studio. I am disheartened to learn of this news and will truly miss the music. I fully support this petition. For business-sake, for community sake, for family traditions sake... Please save the Polish music!

I will not be sending anymore donations unless the Polka program is restored.

We listen every weekend to the polka shows via the internet. We financially support the station during the annual pledge drive. If polka shows are drastically reduced, we will have to reconsider future financial support to this radio station.

Please keep Polka Music on the air. Removing polka programs is like ripping the heart out of a person. Do you love something. How about someone take that from you. Think how that would feel. Well thats how us listeners feel. Please keep polka music on the radio station.

Please keep WMUA's Polka broadcast the same as they always have been. That is why we listten and support WMUA.
