Please reinstate the polka shows on WMUA as well as the Jazz programs, Celtic Crossing, and especially the Focus program on Sundays.

There are 168 hours in a week. Now the administration is taking away hours of entertainment for not only people of Polish ethnicity, but for many others as well. There are plenty of stations that offer other forms of entertainment. Please leave the polka programming as it was.

For those of us whose roots are still strong in the valley but live elsewhere and enjoy connecting long distance to our heritage, this is indeed a sad, sad decision on the part of the University. While I do agree that student programming is an important facet of the station, I doubt the ranks are swelling for students who are interested in either listening to or facilitating programming of a different nature during the early hours of ANY weekend. Seriously...

The decision of the University to cancel this show strikes at the heart of the community in which the University sits and is astoundingly short-sighted. The show brings to the University cultural diversity, national recognition, and substantial financial support. I am stunned at the cavalier ignorance that this decision reflects.

We have listened to the show since it first started. It is not fair to the community to take it off the air.

NO ONE SEGMENT OF WMUA PROGRAMING HAS DONE MORE FOR THIS STATION THAN THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE PEOPLE, THE MC'S, DONORS,OF THIS POLISH PROGRAM. THIS POLISH SHOW BRINGS IN MORE MONEY THAN ANY OTHER. SEGMENT. THE TIME SPENT RAISING NEARLY A 1/2 MILLION DOLLARS, UPGRADING THE EQUIPMENT WILL NEVER BE DUPLICATED. POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, AGAIN, HAS GONE OVERBOARD.
