Wold hate to see this Walmart closed. I shop there and get my monthly meds there on their $ 4 list so them closing would cause me to spend more on gas to travel further. I'm only 35 miles from Piedmont Walmart but would be 60 from the others if Piedmont's closed.

Our family has lived in the Piedmont, MO area for generations. We are no longer residents but visit many times over the course of the year. Walmart closing in this area would be detrimental to this towns economy, taking jobs and tourist with them. The parking lot is constantly packed during open hours. They might not have as much business here as in large cities, but this store is needed in the area. It would also be a 45 minute drive, one-way, to get to another store that carried similar merchandise and even longer during winter months. The impact of losing this store could be detrimental to this community.

I enjoy going to this Wal-Mart when we go camping at the local lake. I really hate to see it close.

I was raised in Piedmont. When Walmart came to town it caused all the mom & pop smaller stores to close so now they want to close leaving the community with no where to shop. That's bull! You can't tell me they are losing money. There is no way.

It's a shame that you've wasted so much money building those "too expensive to shop at" Walmart Marketplaces in towns like Poplar Bluff and Cape Girardeau MO - towns that already had multiple grocery and discount stores. But a small town like Piedmont that has exactly 3 stores (a Dollar General, Walmart and a really expensive, dingy Town & Country) and supports many other small, nearby towns - Des Arc, Mill Spring, Patterson, ect. and you yank that away from us. What a crock. Our only consolation is that karma will one day come back on whomever made that decision .I spend 300 a month there on cat food and litter. It isn't much in the scheme of things, but I'd rather order it from

Wal-Mart put a lot of small businesses out of business, and now they want to leave! Really? Not only does the town and surrounding communities depend on Walmart, so does the tourist trade! Please reconsider!

As a teacher in Wayne County, I care deeply about the well-being of the families in the district and surrounding areas. Many students in both the Greenville and Clearwater districts have family members employed by the Piedmont Walmart and live too far to drive to another Walmart's location for employment. The communities in Wayne County depend on this Walmart for the pharmacy, groceries, childcare necessities, and more. Closing this store down would require these families to travel to further distances than they're able to in order to provide for their household.

I am disabled and I love this walmart. It is convenient to walk into. It is located 30 minutes from my house unlike Farmington or Poplar Bluff.
The community needs it.
