Closing this store is going to effect so many in a negative way. I hope and pray something or someone can change thier mind.

It's ridiculous that they would close, there's some people down here that can't afford or don't have a way to get to either Poplar Bluff or Farmington to go shopping.

It's obvious that corporate Wal-Mart has no perspective on how this will effect not just the Piedmont area but South East Missouri as well. It's not the biggest store but there are alternatives to killing a major business hub in a small area--other Wal-Marts may prosper in the short term (Poplar Bluff, Farmington) but in the long run they will suffer, too. Considering that Missouri is adjacent to Arkansas, you would think this to be a bad business move. Investing in the smaller communities would be a better longterm move than pulling back and putting all your eggs in a few bigger eggbaskets, and the loyalty you would reap from those communities would have benefits that far outstrip the meager gains you would get out of letting entire communities go. Please reconsider.

I believe it would be a grave mistake to close the store down. It would hurt many Shoppers to shop around from all communities within a 50-mile radius of the store. Also probably 50 + 275 + + will be out of jobs. I believe it would be in the best interest of the community to keep the store open. I personally shop at the store quite often.

Piedmont Walmart is a wonderful little store. The associates are always friendly & helpful. And Piedmont residents need that store!! There is no other store close by that carries that variety of items. It would be a great loss for customers, as well as lost jobs & revenue for the town & county. This is a poor area. Please don't take away what little we have!!

Losing Piedmont Walmart will not only hurt the town of Piedmont but will affect Clearwater Lake and Bluffview Lake during the summer days!

My mother in law has worked there for a long time. She can't afford to lose her job. Driving an hour one way isn't an option.

This Wal-Mart store is what keeps this town going. It's a resort town and the tourist pump a lot of business into this store. This has been a wonderful thing for the 75 employees you have employed there. Otherwise they would have to move or drive long distances for work. Please save our store!
Thank you
