Ridiculous decision in the current climate… completely out of touch with local feeling and ground level council management.

My family and I have supported Phoebe and Sally since they started Phoebe's Pantry and are devastated to hear that they can no longer be by the riverside.

Unbelievable we have nothing else at our edge of the river to sit and enjoy and meet people old friends and meet new friends and enjoy a coffee and cake ! people go there from south Woodham Ferrers and other areas all enjoying the benefits of Phoebes Pantry !

Phoebes brings people together when we’ve had so long forced apart. Don’t take another great thing away from this town.

Utterly ridiculous decision to practically put a very small company out of business due to ECC sheer greed. Maybe if they actually used the facility they might see that the rates they want are unobtainable for such a small family run company.

Phoebe's Pantry is a well loved and needed asset to South Woodham Ferrers. The riverside path is well used by many locals and visitors and a beautiful place. Phoebe's is a welcome stop for refreshment as the nearest cafe is more than a mile away from the river. My grandchildren have grown up from babies with Phoebe's and will be extremely upset if she is not there. Phoebe and her staff are extremely friendly and her cakes are amazing. Hullbridge on the other side of the river have The Anchor pub so why shouldn't South Woodham Ferrers have Phoebe's Pantry. Essex County Council have aways treated our Town badly while charging us one of the highest council tax in Essex.

This business is an asset to the community. Giving people a reason to visit the waterfront and thus improving the health and wellbeing of the public is an asset to the council in this area of the county.

Please don't let this happen, it is a great facility and in such a lovely location.

This business is well-loved and brings so many people to the riverside area. It will be a massive loss to the community.

It’s an asset to the area. Without Phoebe it will be utilised much less. My children love it.

I urge you to reconsider the decision to change the contract offer for Phoebe’s Pantry. This is a much-loved and much-frequented small business, serving many people of South Woodham Ferrers by the river and providing a livelihood for the owners. Why would you choose to put someone out of business? Please change the decision!

In who’s interest is it to stop a small business trading? ECC money grabbing and costing small business livelihoods and a community a beloved facility

This is fabulous local business at a greatly neglected riverside location has brought a great deal of happiness & community togetherness during a very difficult worldwide pandemic. They need to be rewarded for what they have done for the local community ( that is regularly ignored at County level !! ) not booted off the site so that it goes back to a boring gravel car park that few people use.
