this is disgraceful from the local council. These people put their heart and soul into their business and provide a fantastic local service to the community , and in these times this is how they are treated.

It’s outrageous that Phoebes is being priced out of an area that they have had a massive impact on. There are very few places to enjoy a refreshment on the river on the SWF side, in fact this is the only spot and it needs to stay.

I was absolutely flabbergasted when I heard that ECC is forcing Phoebes Pantry to close its business in SWF on 31st August. This business is central to the SWF community and is a great support to many people, as it provides an excellent meeting place for members of the community and for those, such as myself, that cannot work for health reasons. The business owners have worked hard to make this a popular business for SWF, throughout lockdown as well (door to door deliveries). ECC need to be seen as supporting such entrepreneurial people rather than taking away their successes. Absolutely disgusting.

Phoebes is such a great resource for the local community. They lift our mood immensely. They are very inclusive - providing for many dietary needs including gluten free, dairy free, vegan. They are open to requests.

Don’t these faceless people at ECC know the pleasure this little business gives to people that enjoy a cup of tea and piece of cake by the river? It’s only on site2/3 days a week for a few hours.
