Appeal to Preserve Our Community and Public Courts

It wasn’t a pleasing move as we had the option to go private and play on our own if we wanted that but on the new action its just private and there is no community bonding as there were free courts that made us interact with each other. In my opinion that is unfair at all!!!!!!!

The transition to the paid format and the cost of the use of the court is absolutely short-sighted and cold-hearted by the management. Many of the people who use the courts are students and cabin crew who do not earn a lot of money and they have been effectively priced out as a result of the decision. Not to mention that people sometimes only come to play for 15-30 minutes as their schedules are heavy and now they must book a court for a whole hour at the ridiculous rate of 200 AED an hour. I personally wouldn’t mind paying a monthly membership of no more than 50 AED a month to maintain the courts. Anything more is pure greed. That is all that is needed to maintain the court as it is very inexpensive to maintain. The community has grown over time and people from many different nationalities have been given the chance to meet each other and do healthy activities together. Masdar city is supposed to promote a GREEN and SUSTAINABLE city, not the greed of man as is shown by the management. Please return our public park to a free model for the sake of the community.

These charges create unnecessary financial barriers, reducing accessibility and discouraging community participation in this inclusive sport. Community is hard to come by here in the UAE, especially for those of us coming from other countries. Making us pay for these courts would take so much more away than what would be gained.

I’d like the courts of padel stays as they are - free for the public !

The open area open walk open courts is part of being in community owned not commercial owned I have been to Brachalona and these kind of courts don’t obligate fees on the public it just need register hours we are big group and being cooperated and coordinated all the past 4 months without any problem

Please consider not to monetize the Masdar free courts. It keeps the community healthy and not everyone can afford the rates. There are a lot of paid courts for people to enjoy but there are not so many free public courts. Please consider to keep masdar courts free.

Please don't let us pay. It will be bad for the community. This bring us from every Nationality together.

As we all know, the players at Masdar Padel Court come from different walks of lives. While some can afford to pay premium rates for indoor courts, many of the regular players at Masdar are not financially stable enough to play as often, particularly at the same rates charged at more exclusive indoor venues. Perhaps Active can consider giving some courts for public. Thank you

This Padel court is one of the most attractive place in the park and most of people are enjoying practicing their favorite sport and keep healthy Unlogic to close such nice activity in one of the most unique area and beautiful park and deprive people and Masdar residents to practice their favorite sport

There are paid paddle courts everywhere so this one should remain free as an alternative to get people in the sport.
