This person needs to be somewhere
that he will be out of society's mainstream and able to get serious and intensive help. Jail would only make it worse for everyone involved by sweeping the underlying causes away in a cage with little chance for real help that he needs. And the victims, especially the children, of crimes like these should also be offered counseling for free.
