This is one of the main businesses in Jay, if not the main source of employment. There are many people who cannot travel long distances to get something from Walmart. The staff is friendly and they recognize the people of the community. It's nice to have that. I understand that the current manager does not get that and doesn't have time to get to know the community, but that doesn't make this store insignificant. This community relies on this store for supplies, jobs, medications, and a sense of community. Please listen. Please save this store.

I hav two many loved ones that live in Jay.
This is terrible news...and will be a sad loss for the people of Jay...
Think of all the elderly in jay.
What a terrible decision, wal mart.
Think of this small town community and the jobs and hardship you are laying on this community..
2020 has been a terrible year... I can’t believe you are throwing this in on top of everything..
Jay wal mart stayed busy...
The town don’t have much as it is ..

Jay needs this. Grove Walmart isn't stocked as is. By the time you have local people and tourists, there isn't anything on the shelves.

The Jay Walmart may be just a bunch of numbers with a dollar sign on paper to the Walmart business community, but to the citizens in Jay and surrounding area, it's much more. Jay Walmart is a community. They have excellent service, and care about their customers. The reason they care about their customers is because most of the time, they know their customers. The Jay Walmart represents Sam Walton's true vision. As it has been said numerous times, Sam Walton cared about the people. He and his wife shopped Jay Walmart because they enjoyed the community spirit. This is the same reason I enjoy shopping at Jay Walmart. I know when I go to the pharmacy, the people behind the counter are taking care of me. They go above and beyond to explain how my medication will work. They are compassionate. I've never had another Walmart pharmacy show they care about me, as an individual. There is a reason I have only given my pharmacy business to Jay Walmart. It's the people who work there that make me want to do business there.
I'm also a teacher at Jay Public Schools. During my lunch and planning period, I like many teachers run to Walmart to get needed classroom supplies, food for us and students, and to buy those children in need a pair a shoes, clothes, or coats. We choose Jay Walmart because it is close, it's reasonably priced products, and because we enjoy the smile on the faces of the employees and kind conversations as we make a quick pass through. Jay Walmart is an integral part of Jay community. It is much more than numbers and dollar signs on a page to us.
The Jay Walmart provides reasonable and quality products for everyone in and around the Jay community. People enjoy shopping at Jay Walmart because it is smaller than the supercenters. I, personally detest shopping inside the larger Walmart stores. The workers are often rude, it's hard to find the items I want and need, and they are often messy. I do not use self checkouts, I enjoy the personable checkout experie

This store is very important for this community. Please take into the jobs lost and the people who dont have cars or rides to other towns. I grew up in Jay and know how important this store is to the town's people.
