The consequences from, losing Wal Mart, would be detrimental to our town. There are quite a few elderly and disabled adults that live in low income Cherokee Apartments behind Wal Mart. The livelihoods of many of our residents depend on a few companies. Wal Mart is the last company that remains In our small town. It has been here for 40 years. It was one of the main reasons that I decided to buy a house here in Jay.

Jay, OK needs this retailer to stay open! Please think about the families and the elderly. It’s not about what Walmart economy wants it’s about a small town of very generous Walmart customers and the employees that have worked holidays and long hard hours to support their families and some for several years and dedicated themselves to the people. Every role that each employee has is IMPORTANT including the role of the customers and they all have dedicated themselves to you WALMART and depended on you WALMART to serve them with integrity. Walmart—THIS IS NOT A GOOD TIME TO BE CLOSING A STORE THAT YOU THINK SHOULD BE CLOSED B/C OF THEIR PERFORMANCE?” Walmart’s performance decision to close Jay store is a HUGE mistake. Please re-think this, PLEASE do NOT let something so NEEDED just be irrelevant.
