This is absolutely appalling! Aberdeenshire Council should be ensuring full support is given to these early years groups. These groups are there to help give our children the best start in life. What could possibly have more financial priority than that??

Early years learning is vital to our children’s wellbeing & development as well as learning social skills. If funding was cut for many of the settings the resources for those left would be overstretched having a detrimental effect on children’s learning. Perhaps rather than cutting funding, this could be used to create another early years setting collaboratively with those who are about to lose this funding and ultimately their jobs.

Think again! If the funding was there before, it must still be there. Don't penalise the toddlers of Aberdeenshire for your shortfalls.

Early years Scotland provide invaluable support and advice for many groups across Scotland and losing them would put many groups under strain. It will also leave many dedicated and committed staff jobless.

It is so important councils realize what an important service playgroup and other childcare services provide I wish they would actually visit them and speak see exactly the situations everyone needs funding and support from their council. They should be making cuts on other things that are less important than our children who are the future we need funding to support them.

Committee members rely on this advice and help as they come into the committee and throughout, it is invaluable to groups like this. It is difficult enough to get a committee group together, but without the assistance from Early Years the group will struggle. This group has been great for both of my boys, it would be a great loss to Banff if it were to close due to support issues.

My sons loved going t 2s then now playgroup and even tho he will b going to nursery after summer my youngest is due t start 2s in may and it’s a vital part o our children’s development
