You can’t erase history. We learn from it and continue to remember folks as mentors or not. It’s up to us to change course if need be. There’s a reason why all monuments and statues have been placed. Learn of their history and why they are there. People wanting to take them down have no clue and are probably being paid to continue to wreak havoc in our USA.

Do not take this down. I'm 65 moved to Covington in 1959. That statue has never hurt anyone. Its history. It sure is not the one who is protesting, burning, or beating or murdering any one. You are looking at this all wrong.

This option shouldn't even be,our voices have been heard without saying a word, these law breakers should get the max even if it's vandalism on a no parking sign but anything for peace sake as a response could be a friendly gesture before any possible fighting could break loose

As a life long resident of Newton Co I’d like to see efforts put to other things rather than focus on memorials that have been in place hundreds of years, certainly not using taxpayers money
