Keep our Principal

This is completely unacceptable to do during the pandemic.

Ms. Herring is an amazing principal! She deserves to stay at LCA and continue her development as a principal! She is wonderful and loving! She is one of the strongest person I know who deserves this position! MS. HERRING SHOULD BE PRINCIPAL HERE!!!

Stop moving principals from school to school! What better way to have consistency for students and have the same, strong administration for a student’s entire time at a school. Here is one of those many things other schools do that MPS could too - When something works, keep it instead of moving it!

Ms. Herring is of hardest working people I know. She wants what is best for the students and staff.

I cannot imagine a worse time to introduce new leadership than during a literal pandemic and complete upheaval of anything resembling stability. Our principal stepped up when we needed her. We need her still

Please reconsider, replacing our principal, because our principal love the student and really care about the students education.

She deserves to stay

Ms. Herring without a doubt is the best fit for principal at LCA. I have witnessed and experienced firsthand her extraordinary leadership. She has built relationships with the staff and students and understands the culture at LCA. She has realistic goals and is very fair. Miss Herring as principal is no brainer.

Ms. Herring has put in endless hours working to create positive change at LCA since she has taken on the principal role this past year. She deeply cares about students and has built a community at LCA that cannot be replaced with new leadership. She is willing to put the work in to make her building a place of learning and love. Listen to the staff and students at LCA and make the right decision - Ms. Herring deserves to stay!!

I would like to keep Nebritt Herring as Principal at Lincoln Center of the Arts. She is a valuable asset to the building. Her relationship with staff , students and parents and ability to relate to students was exceptional. Losing Ms. Herring is a loss to the building, especially the students.

We need a leader we know that can.move us forward. What we don't need is someone who knows nothing about Lincoln. We don't need to start from scratch. Ms. Herring has been with us for 8 years. She has been a phenomenal leader. She's the one, with our support and trust, that will move us in the right direction. Lincoln Centwr needs a mother's calm, but firm, loving hand. We don't need anymore football analogies and machismo. That doesn't work here.

Ms. Herring is the most qualified, dignified leader LCA has had. She has made the most change in her small time as Acting Principal. She knows our school, students, and staff and is the BEST choice for running our building. Replacing her would be irresponsible and the wrong choice for LCA.

I worked with Ms. Herring for 4 years. She treated students, parents and staff with respect and held students and staff to realistic expectations. She stay at Lincoln!

Ms. Herring has strong support from her staff which is a key Indicator of her leadership. I would hope the district would support the request of the staff to keep Ms. Herring in her role as principal and keep consistent leadership going especially during the uncertain times ahead. I found Ms. Herring to be a strong, organized and effective leader in the years I worked with her at Lincoln.

Nebritt Herring has earned the principal position at Lincoln many times over with her dedication and work ethic. The interview process should have been a formality not a stressful note of finality. She deserves better. She should be able to continue what she's started.

Nbritt Herring has shown repeatedly, in the months that she was Acting Principal, that she is currently the best leader for Lincoln Center for the Arts. Ms. Herring knows the families, students and staff deeply, as she has been in a leadership position there for eight years. Her calm, yet firm demeanor serves as a role model to students, families and staff. In no small way, she helps students be the best that they can be, even in the most difficult situations. Ms. Herring works with staff, bringing us together and keeping our work on the ultimate goal of providing the best education to our students. Ms. Herring effectively manages the dynamics of staff, students, families, and policies to make a large middle school run as smoothly as possible. Additionally, it was under her leadership as a staff that we collectively and efficiently contacted families after the COVID 19 shut down. In fact, I would recommend that all buildings follow what we implemented, because we were able to reach out to a large number of students and families very quickly, assess their needs, and provide for their needs. Her persistence also made it imperative that we reached all families, so we continued the process until we contacted all families. Ms. Herring makes our school a learning community. Ultimately, Ms. Herring has proven herself as the best principal for Lincoln Center for the Arts. I truly hope that you take this outpouring of support seriously, and keep Ms. Herring our principal.

Please MPS-listen to the actual staff in the building. They should be choosing their leadership -not central office.

As a former student of LCA (graduated from 8th grade in 2016) , The efforts of Ms.Herring have never gone unnoticed. What the school needs is a person who is dedicated and devoted to making improvements and to help guide the lives of students. Ms.Herring is that devoted and dedicated person. It does not make sense of looking for someone else, when there is already one outstanding person put in place.

She is an amazing support person and our students, sraff, and families need her to head our school.
