There are to many walkers, bike riders, children and pets that use Bertram Drive each and everyday as well as a school bus stop for many off our children. We all drive respectfully in our neighborhood so everyone can enjoy their homes. Please do not allow an entrance to the new development off Bertram Drive.

It would be too dangerous and there would be unnecessary traffic. It doesn't make any sense to pit the entrance there.

I have lived on Jarrett Bay Dr. For over 13 years. The most important things in our community are our kids who play freely with the limited traffic pattern. My 13 yr old son is Autistic and we feel safe with our neighbors who understand and keep watch. There is plenty of access and traffic pattern that can be more utilize on lake park and existing parking lots that can be extended with a traffic light as central access. This would ultimately devalue our closed neighborhood and make it dangerous for our families.

Any entrance to this property off Bertram would certainly be very detrimental to the safety to walkers and bikers of Portside Village as well as be a detriment to the property values and access to each respective property owners property.

Access to a public facility via Bertram avenue is an accident waiting to happen. This is where kids walk to and wait for their school bus. This is the only access for homeowners to leave/enter the neighborhood with their kids/animals and often on bicycles. Please consider the safety of the neighborhood residents as top priority.

If a commercial property needs additional access, wouldn't it be a more logical plan to tap into an adjacent commercial property vs. residential. Adjoining commercial property with residential does not seem like a good plan at all. This is very concerning, and for the safety of the children and pedestrians within the neighborhood who walk too and from the bus stop, this is an extremely unwise/unsafe proposition.

Developer should bare the cost of a dedicated curb cut from state highway or negotiate entrance from parking lot directly North of his property.

This is not a logical plan for the City to even propose. Do they even consider the effects it will have to our Community?

One of the best features of Portside Village is low traffic. There has to be a better entrance solution for the proposed development.

No entrance into our neighborhood. It would create safety issues & take away from the good things we have in Portside.

Safety and privacy is something we put value on in our small residential community. The safety of children at the bus stop and walking home from school are of great concern in this matter. We trust that the Town of Carolina Beach will make the right call on this one.

Please don't take away the privacy and integrity of this neighborhood! It is crucial to the peaceful nature of this island.

Thank you, officials of Carolina Beach, for considering the wishes of our 47 home neighborhood. I personally support the sale of the property and the the Town's continued support of business growth on the Island. I do expect, however, that the Town simultaneously protect the residential areas of our wonderful beach community.
