It has recently came to light that a new resident in Deanston is a registered Sex Offender. This individual had been housed in The Raploch where there was protests and petitions to get him removed from the Council House, he was placed in a very close proximity to Primary Schools and the College. We as a community are hoping for the same result. This man is living right next to a playpark, in fact just over the fence. The playpark is used on a daily basis by all children in the village and it now no longer feels safe or comfortable to be able to have our children playing there. As Deanston is such a small rural village there is only a few minutes walk from all of the houses here to Primary school and this individuals house is no exception.
