Living at The Commons Historic Westside, it is a beautiful location 15 minutes from the Georgia Dome, Atlanta Civic Center, Phillips Arena, World of Coca Cola, and many other attractions that Atlanta has to offer. In 2010, Walmart petitioned to open in the neighborhood. Of course, our community was a little reluctant, but welcomed Walmart with open arms. Since this store has been open (2012-2013) the quality of workers and products has declined significantly. The parking lot is full of trash that piles up against our neighborhood fences, and eventually making its way around the subdivision. Also they have neglected the landscaping. These is a black mesh with weeds that has started to grow, and a lack of mulch. These problems have become an eyesore for our community. Walmart has neglected the betterment of this community.
Let's sign this petition and let Walmart (located at 835 Martin Luther King Jr Dr SW Atlanta, GA 30314) know that we care about our community, and from now on we hope that they can show us that they care too.

The amount of trash piling up against our fences remains a direct insult to everyone living here. Email the store manager at the Martin Luther King Jr Drive location today and demand they clean the perimeter immediately. I would like Wal-Mart to address both the trash issues, and repace shrubs that have died in their landscaping that boarders our community.
We just want Wal-Mart to be a good neighbor to make our community more attractive to everyone. This is the only new construction community built in this area that has thrived so it's beneficial for Walmart to keep it's side of the deall.

Our gate situation has steadily declined since walmart has been in our neighborhood. The foot traffic through our neighbor has increased. I constantly see people hopping the gates, leaving the gates open and even prying the gates open in order to walk through. The litering has got to stop. It is an eyesore and also an embarrassment to our community.
