Don Orsillo is an excellent play by play announcer. I have enjoyed listening to him over the last 15 years. He has kept me watching the Red Sox through good times and not so good. He and Jerry Remy have a chemistry that will be difficult, if not impossible replicate. Of all the mistakes the Red Sox management has made this year, letting Orsillo go ranks right up there. One would think they would have learned their lesson on the importance of personalities and chemistry after dismantling the World Series winning team of 2013. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.

Getting rid of Orsillo is idiocy. He is irreplaceable and has served to increase the Sox popularity over the years. He is one of the main reasons I keep watching even when we are down by a dozen. This could not be more infuriating and I can't imagine one fan who would support this.

I was born a Red Sox fan and will die a Sox fan. Leave Don and Jerry together love both of them. If you get rid of Orsillo because the way this team isn't playing you're nuts Keep them together.

Don Orsillo is one of the few things that can keep a five hour baseball game somewhat entertaining! He's a staple and knows more than and replacement ever could. This is a broadcasting travesty.

A great man controls the reigns in the booth and that is what the Red sox are losing. His humor is some of the best and it has no reflection on the team. Big loss to the Red Sox Media...

This is a very bad idea to not re-sign Don! Don and Jerry are the ONLY reason I watch NESN. Now I'll have to listen to the radio instead. Thanks for nothing!

The last two seasons have been awfull in the W/L stats for the Red Sox. However, Don & Jerry have found a way to keep myself and more importantly, my 9 year-old son still watching every game regardless of the dismal seasons where there was no chance to really make the play-offs in '14 or '15. My son has had to endure other broadcasts (ESPN, Fox, other teams after the Sox Game) and has told me they are just boring. No passion. Not fun! If Don is going to ESPN or Fox...OK great move for him. As far as us watching/listening nearly every Red Sox game on MLB.TV...unlikely...unless muted.
