NESN you're crazy if you let Down Orsillo go. This man alone makes watching the Red Sox on TV better than actually going to a game!! And that's saying a lot when we all know Fenway is The Cathedral of all baseball stadiums.

Don Orsillo and Jerry remy are the only two I've watched since I've started to watch Red Sox baseball around 03-04. Kicking Don out is the worst idea I've ever heard. Please keep Don.

I am a lifelong sox fan, and 9 year card carrying member of Red Sox Nation. I count the days during the off season, til we hear Don (and Jerry) again.. even useless spring training games. I seriously don't understand this. After hanging in there through the good and bad (mostly bad)- I really think I am done with the Sox. I already decided to never buy Sox clothing again, particularly any shirts with names on them.. I go to at least 6 games a year, at great expense. What is the point anymore? I thought when Tom Werner admitted that the game is 'entertainment' during a recent interview with Tom Caron, that he actually understood. I guess not.

If Don is interested in leaving, so be it. But if management (or is it mismanagement) initiated this move, if is par for the course. I've been a Red Sox fan since 1965. Since I live in Central New York, I pay close to $200.00 per year to watch the games on cable. 3 out of the past 4 seasons have been rough to watch, but have been highlighted by Don Orsillo, Jerry Remi and a smattering of Dennis Eckersley. Face it, upper management (John, Larry Tom and Ben) have done a crappy job of putting players who had the right chemistry to win on the field. But Don and Jerry have made it tolerable to listen to the games.

These are the best announcers in baseball - and only NESN has them - except when the Red Sox don't make playoffs - then ESPN is smart enough to bring Don on to their team. Even then, there is not the chemistry that Don and Jerry have - love it when I know they are laughing so hard in the background, they can't talk. It's OK - because afterall, it is TV and we can see what's going on.
