My children have been attending la Promesa for years. My son Jesse has been here since 1st grade he is now in 8th grade my son Angelo started kindagarden here and my daughter now atends kindagarden. This school has been a foundation for my family my nephews have been in attendance since they first opend .. I strongly belive this school and program is a aset to Albuquerque and the Latin comunity . The teacher bild the children's confidence and educate them in a small school setting . This school is conferting knowing my child and children will be in a small tight family oriented seting. Compare to a large overcrowded public school this gave me an option for my children to atend a privet school with out the costly tuition.with a duel language curiculam that is not available any place else .If they choose to close the school this will be closing the door on small children and there family. We will be corded to enroll our children in albuquerque public school that will not properly acomadat my children and there need to be in a small privet setting .I pray you take our opinions into consideration it is not the quantity of signed petition but the quality of the people and there voices

I started to work as the school social worker at La Promesa this school year 2016-2017 as a contractor with CES. In this months of working with children that received my services, I am able to see how the possible closure of the school is affecting negatively the children I see. They are fearful and sad that they may need to change schools. I know for special education children it is hard to adapt to other environments specially when they are currently successful in a school. I also see the administration staff professional work as well as their commitment with special eduction.

It would be a tragedy to make 400 students and their families suffer for one bad apple. When there is one bad apple on the tree, you don't cut the tree down!
