Keep open Eccles, Hargham and Wilby CEVA Primary school

My son attended this school a few years ago. It was the best experience of his life & has set him up well for High School & then University. At Eccles he discovered self belief & confidence, and grew in his academic studies. This school is essential to the village as there are few other aspects of community life & now all are under threat.

Perhaps the most endearing thing about the school, is the quaint rural village school feeling that you get from inside the school. The children feel happy and secure in their small classes and interact freely with the older children around them, both inside and outside in the playground. The staff are like an extended family - so friendly is the atmosphere. A wonderful foundation of education, it would be a tragic loss to lose such a lovely school. Pupil numbers fluctuate in all schools, its difficult when numbers are low to start with, but promotion of this school is vital, and we must encourage people to consider this school as a place for their children.

Very few schools are as inclusive as Eccles, Hargham & Wilby where both pupils with and without SEN are learning together. Very few schools are more distinctive than this little school where one feels like part of a family. Very few schools are as effective in providing an appropriate learning environment for so many SEN pupils as well as spurring children without additional needs on so that all can reach their full potential. If there are concerns that Eccles may not achieve a "good" or "outstanding" rating at a next Ofsted inspection then support needs to be given to the school to improve areas of concern rather then closing the school down.

In an ideal world, local community neighbourhood councils would run the local schools, and they would only make major decisions from discussion and direct vote at a mass public meeting. That way, schools would be closed or opened only when a majority of local people wanted it. That may seem radical – until it is remembered that it is our tax money that is paying for the whole structure.

i went to this school for the whole 7 years its a lovely little school and should be kept open ita good for the children especially those that may need extra help n have staff to work with such a small amount of children keep it open!!!!

We are determined that every child in a Church of England school is in a school that provides a full and rounded education which enables each child to develop character and virtues that will equip them for the rest of their lives. Part of this commitment means that we expect all of our schools to be rated as good or outstanding by Ofsted. This determination is not dependent on the academies programme but is as equally applicable to all categories of Church school.

No school should be closed. simple as that. just think of all those kids that are all settled there, they are comftable there its not fair on the children and there education. DO NOT CLOSE!!

We as a community want our children taught in a family-friendly environment. The community will be wiped away if the school is moved to another town.” We would like the Goverment to take action to stop the upheaval & change to a valuable community.

Keep this lovely school open - it is perfect for local children and those who value good honest education where the whole school cares and shares

For some of the children there is no suitable alternative. The disruption and emotional upheaval to the children this will cause is dispicable and we urge the council to reconsider. We will fight all the way and by any means to keep this school open.

I went to the school in the 70s and it was the best school i ever went to i learnt so much there life skills, education and who i was as a children. It would be sad to see it go as i know you have some amazing wonderful children there that have grown so much being at this school and i think it should carry on as it doing a good job with these children everything shouldnt be all about money this is children lives you are mucking about with s.o.s SAVE OUR SCHOOL

Lovely school I went there when I was younger and still live in the village now be a real shame to see it go lots of memories

My grandson has benefitted greatly from going to this school and although the closure will not affect him directly, I am sure it would be of equal help to others. I feel it is very shortsighted of the authorities to want to close this school.

l love my school i came here in september and they have reslly helped me to read i love my teachers my brother is hoping to come here as well when he is 5 my big sister is here as well.i am very upset as i dont know where i will go please keep my school open
