Keep open Eccles, Hargham and Wilby CEVA Primary school

My girls go to wilby, they love it there and we don't not want them to beo moved.

This is a brilliant school which needs to be kept open , as children need a good education and have the right to go to a local school.

It's very short sighted closing such a very good school, when most of the local schools are full. I would think the cost of keeping this open would be less than the money spent on transport and purchasing mobiles in other schools to accommodate the pupils.

It is very short sighted to consider closing this school at a time when huge housing growth is going on in the locality. Even 24 houses in the very village itself. Short term support and a long term strategy is needed to secure the school and children's future

I am now 40 but attended this school from 1979-1983 when we moved. It was about 60 pupils at that time and was the heart of the village. I loved the lessons and activities and feel it gave me a good start to school life. My dad sent me the clippings and I had to give my support because the idea that it is also a specialist school fills me with joy as it sounds perfect for the children who attend. I wish you all the best and I really hope that you are listened to and the school stays open. The teachers at the time, especially the headmistress, were great and had time for every pupil and it seems this has continued and is a strong reason for keeping the school work because this school has always been about passion and countrylife and not about targets. please support this community.

My niece has thrived since attending this school and don't want to lose this gem of a school.

How can you close this school when there is no where else for the children to go, no brain er!!!

This school means a lot to some mums & their children I know & will find it hard to find somewhere just as good

My son has learning problems and was treated badly at his first attempt at school. He used to wet the bed and hang on my leg in the playground screaming that his teachers did not like him.... I tended to agree with him. I removed him and began the search for a place my son would fit... a place that accepted my son. We were told about Eccles by my son's nursery and from the moment I stepped into the school I knew it would be perfect for him. The staff at Eccles right down to the caretaker have such love and passion for their school. I could not have got myself or alfie through the last couple of years without the support of the staff at eccles. Alfie is making progress and i trust the judgement of the staff as they care for my son as i do. We are living the real closure of Eccles and currently my son is being offered resource units in mile cross, wayland etc. I have cried many nights over this and will not allow my son to go to such places. We are set to be excluded again because we are different, seen in society as not perfect, not the national average... Eccles school is a place that excels by being different, accepts the minority and encourages children to be who they are... not what policy or the goverment sayes they should be. All children... despite their academic ability should be included in school just like the rest of the children. To exclude a child from parts of society because they are different is nothing short of bullying and abuse. The council and government talks of equality and the acceptance of difference or diversity but this is cheap talk and nothing else. Eccles should be used as an example to other schools. a formula to be followed, not closed and forgotten. Please don't shut this shining example of a school and remove my son's or the rest of the children's futures.

inclusion is sometimes the only thing that saves a family from falling apart

Rural schools play an important part of rural live and I can believe the Governors have made the decision to close the school. Although I did not go to the school as moved to the village while at High School age, many of my friends went to the school and had a very good and happy education. This is a crazy decision by the CoE and school Governors, they should be looking at expenading the school not closing it with all the planned new development in the local area and other schools being full.

I can not understand how this decision by the Governors has been made when the school has achieved excellent results and school places in the area are under great pressure therefore the school should be expanding not closing

Crazy decision when the school is providing an exellent service to this rural community. School places at other local schools are under pressure the Governors should be looking at enhancing the school not closing it. Very short sighted decision.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Look beyond the short term and concentrate on the bigger picture and prepare for the future.

Why close a perfectly good village primary school when others in the locality are full

Eccles Primary Scool is well run, friendly school that is able to cater very wel for all the children's educational needs, epsecially those that need a little extra help with their education.

My brother, sister and I received a first class education at Eccles. A great first school which provide the tools for my siblings and I to flourish in our continued education and careers. Denying future generation of this quality of education would be a true shame.
