As a native Tucsonan and someone with MANY great memories of Old Tucson, I share the sentiment. The reality though is it's all about money. It's a business. They have been bleeding money for more years than I can remember. Its actually a miracle of sorts they didnt close years ago. This Covid thing (which has been horrible mishandled) has broken many businesses that just didnt have the cash reserves. It is a sad, and stark reality. Even if they could raise enough money through efforts like this to forestall their closing, it'll just be the same next year. The World is changing. Not for the good either. There will be many casualties. Old Tucson will be one of the many.

We loved spending Tourist dollars here. Airfare, rental car, admission, hotels.... $$$
