Very vague reasons or explanation given for the closure. I'm sure these could be explained in more detail so that we could understand the reasons. Don't recall ever being told this could go at short notice.

A valuable service that should not be taken away and certainly not without consultation with parents or potential alternatives offered.

Utterly disgraceful actions by once a very reputable school.

I feel that the afterschool should be kept open as it is a great service for the parents that REALLY NEED IT !!!

This facility is a Hugh help to us working parents. We would be happy to pay an increased fund if that helps any to keep this facility at oakwood ups

This was very disappointing news today. My husband and I work full time and rely massively on the wraparound. Not very supportive of working parents..

The provision of affordable wrap around care was a key consideration for us in choosing a school. As working parents we rely on it and my daughter is extremely happy and settled there. I am now faced with a significant upheaval for my child in the short months leading up to the transfer test, an already stressful time. The lack of consultation with parents has not helped the situation.

Integrated education should have parents at the heart of it, including important decisions about the school community. I disagree that the wrap around care should be removed and also disagree that there was no parental consultation.
As a working parent, I rely on the wrap around care provided.

Wrap around care at Oakwood was one of the decisions to send my child there and it is part of the ethos of the achool. Whilst I understand there is likely valid business reasons for closure as a full time user of the system I would like the school to make their reasons public to parents as to why they made this decision.

As a working parent, I am gutted to find out that wrap around care to be stopping. When we were considering Oakwood, the wrap around care was advertised as a benefit. This move is not considering the needs of working parents. Leeann Kelly

the wrap around care is an essential part of the school and a necessity for many parents.
