For most of us, we invested in a second home that just so happens to float. If we have to move, it will be like the state condemning property to benefit for their personal gain. Squatters rights.

This is just more bureaucratic BS. If the houses are up to code then I don't see any problem. We all do our parts to keep the lake clean and I can promise you that if there were no house boats the lake would be way more dirty than it already is.
But we also have to make sure our houses and our neighbors house are up to code and clean with proper holding tanks we must take on some responsibility in keeping our lake clean

Leave us along we will bring them up to code I agree with that but having a life limit is not! We want to pass them to our children!

Please reconsider this. This is where I grew up in the summer as a kid and hope to have my own kids to raise on the lake one day.

Please do not bring to an end this very enjoyable lifestyle in these most beautiful mountains. It would be a shame to not allow people with the ambition and wherewithal to appreciate this beauty in this way.

Please reconsider these extreme changes. If the purpose us to keep the lake clean then just have more enforcement of the rules already in place.. These house were there long before any of the homes around the lake.. My famy enjoys spending our time here every summer weekend and many winter weekend as well.. Signed an upset lake lover.

How can selfish people take away the joy of family weekends and such for their own selfish reasons and at that the owners have to pay to have removed. Now that is ridiculous!!!

These houses are an integral piece of the history of these lakes. I wholeheartedly support the effort to keep them in place and preserve the floating communities for generations to come.

Find a sensible and environmentally friendly way to keep them. They are part of the economic sustainability and history at Fontana.
