I am becoming increasing disgruntled with the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, who do not seem to act on behalf of the community they serve. Rather, they seem to be making decisions from within a bubble from which they cannot hear and do not care about what the communities want. Can we at least not poison our children?

Polyethylene and crumb rubber fields are no substitute for good grass fields. Safety should come first for our junior players.

Americans are very good at making money, but this time, put your efforts into another cause. As an Argentine, an educator, and children's advocate, I'd encourage to continue using natural grass for children's practices and games. We produce the best soccer players in the world, and I can assure you that neither Maradona nor Messi favor practicing or playing on synthetic turf, except in big tournaments or world championships. You know money, we know soccer, please don't risk your children's health in favor of making money; it's simply not right.

The field is in proximity to my home. If the aeration affects athletes it will have an effect on the air quality of my home.

If the grass is replaced With fake-cancerous turf none of my 3 children will participate in any sport using those dangerous fields.
You will rob them of their childhood.

Please do not move forward with the plan to use fake turf. It is dangerous. Nuff said. Someone somewhere is going to make a nice pile of money poisoning our children if the the plan is executed.
