We are petitioning to keep the restraints in the movie “Music” by Sia. Restraints are often necessary for people with Autism, for their safety, and the safety of others. Too often this side of Autism is glossed over. People need to be aware of some of the negative behaviors that can occur. Too many people with Autism have died as a result of improper restraint, many at the hands of law enforcement. Contrary to popular belief, perpetrated by television and movies, Autism is not all unicorns and rainbows. It’s time that group has a voice.
